We've had a lot of emails from Rapidweaver users, new and old alike about which themes are compatible with Rapidweaver 4.0.

The short answer is that all of our listed RW 3.6 and RW 4.0 themes will work perfectly with both Rapidweaver 4.0 AND Rapidweaver 3.6.7!

The only items added to existing RW 3.6 themes for Rapidweaver 4.0 were a larger preview image for RW 4.0's new theme preview area, and the addition of keywords to the plist file for RW 4.0's new theme preview search function. That's it.

We posted this to the Realmac forum originally but wanted to post it here again to make sure everyone understands the theme update process when you move from RW 3.2.1 to RW 3.5. We have had several RW 3.2.1 users email us with questions on this and how to apply new theme updates to their current sites.

When you receive theme updates from third party theme developers, those themes will have a new version number in their plist file code. This will result in the theme being loaded into RW 3.5 as a new theme. Your older version theme will still show up in the theme window along with the new theme update version.

Note that when you open your site file up that uses the older theme version in RW 3.5, your site pages will not be automatically updated with the new RW 3.5 theme update version.
You will have to select the new theme update version and go through each page in your site and apply the new theme and whatever variations you previously had in place.
Then save your file to a new folder on your hard drive with a new name so you will not overwrite your older RW 3.2.1 site file. To play it safe, I strongly recommend making a backup copy of your RW 3.2.1 site file before you start on any of the above.

I hope this helps clear up some confusion RW users have relayed to us.
